Biography

I started my teaching journey in Panama in the mid 90s. In 1999, I moved to North Carolina as an exchange teacher to teach multilingual learners in middle and high school. I taught in North Carolina public schools from 1999-2012. Additionally, I taught immigrant and refugees at a local community college in North Carolina for over four years. Before moving to Bradley in Spring 2016, I became an adjunct professor at Appalachian State University and Davidson College in Fall 2016. I have been a professor at Bradley for over six years (2016-2022).

I love seeing our pre-service teachers becoming caring and passionate individuals who will make a positive impact on their future students, communities, and society.
