The Bradley Advantage

You can train for career onstage as a performer, in the classroom mentoring young musicians and behind the mixing board in a recording studio through the music department, which is part of the Slane College of Communication and Fine Arts. A general music degree gives you a music foundation for lifelong enjoyment and performance. Additionally, you can pursue degrees in business, composition, education, performance and business give you multiple routes to keep music at the center of your career. A degree in music and entertainment industry is available if you’re interested in the music industry but lack a performance background. As a member of the music department, you can travel nationally or internationally with one of 11 ensembles on campus. You also can explore the recording industry as a performer or businessperson through student-run Hilltop Studios. Performance scholarships are available if you participate in the ensembles.

Successful Outcomes

Bradley’s music degrees successfully prepare you to enter the workforce or attend graduate school. Recent graduates are working for organizations such as the Chicago Lyric Opera, Walt Disney Company and the Florentine Opera Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
