MBA student Rachel Anders, of St. Charles, Missouri, won the Fall 2017 Brave Pitch competition with a proposal for a food pantry on campus. The Lydia’s Kitchen pitch earned Anders a cash prize and an opportunity to present her project at a national competition in Tampa, Florida.

Reid Harman ‘18, a mechanical engineering major from Trivoli, Illinois, finished second with an idea for an anti-scalding faucet that changes colors to alert users when water is too hot. Computer information science major Clayton Fyfe ‘19, of Libertyville, Illinois, finished third with an idea for a smartphone app that incentivizes and rewards volunteers for assisting non-profit organizations.

Brave pitch is sponsored by Bradley’s Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
